Job Summary: The Product Development Process Engineer role resides within the Research and Development function at Elevation Labs Idaho, reporting to the Product Development Process Engineer. This individual will collaborate closely with R&D and Compounding, ensuring appropriate translation of lab batching to the compounding floor, and will provide ownership for all New Product Development pilot and scale-up initiatives to ensure Batch Right First Time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical oversight of the ELID Pilot Program
  • Works collaboratively as part of the New Product Development process. With input from Operations, provides manufacturing feasibility assessments during New Project Briefing reviews.
  • Interfaces directly with Customers, as needed, to ensure client requirements are met during piloting/scale-up.
  • Author, review, and/or approve new manufacturing instructions to ensure BRFT.
    • Develop/manage/execute post batch analyses to identify necessary updates to manufacturing instructions.
  • Assists in root Cause analysis for failed batches originating in Compounding.
  • Retroactively reviews problematic formulations and propose processing changes to enable BRFT.
  • Supports Compounding by ensuring staff has base understanding of formulation principles/methodologies, challenges and how to address during batching.
  • Maintains external focus with regards to manufacturing trends with intent to identify capacity or capability expansions for Elevation Labs
  • Leads CI initiatives as appropriate to role.

Knowledge & Skills:

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Possesses technical expertise as required by listed responsibilities, education, and experience.
  • Performs work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Performs work using good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Works with minimum supervision
  • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks in a short amount of time.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely.


Education/Experience:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering, or related sciences, required.
  • CPG/Beauty industry experience .


Physical and Mental Demands

  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment around heavy machinery.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as business needs require.
  • Regularly required to stand
