Job DescriptionJob Description

Includes but is not limited to:

·Oversees and inspects corrective and preventive maintenance performed by the William J. Hughes

Technical Center’s service contractors for operations and maintenance, custodial and grounds services.

·Reviews plans to ensure they meet building codes and contract specifications.

·Monitors construction sites to ensure overall compliance.

·Uses survey instruments, metering devices, and test equipment to perform inspections.

·Keeps daily logs, including photographs taken during inspections.

·Provides written documentation of findings.

·Issues violation notices and stop-work orders until building is compliant.

·Develops designs, statements of work, specifications, drawings, cost estimates of moderate complexity.

Education and Experience Requirements:

. Experience in building trades including but not limited to carpentry, paving, painting, and concrete is required.

· Six (6) years of relevant experience is required for the Journeyman Level.

A college degree is not required.
