We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician Supervisor to lead and manage electrical crews on commercial and industrial job sites throughout the Oklahoma City area. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of journeymen and apprentice electricians on-site.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical plans for commercial and industrial installations.
- Ensure adherence to the Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Plan, lay out, and install electrical systems including conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, and controls.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
- Perform quality control inspections and verify all work meets job specifications.
- Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment needed for job completion.
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior electricians.
- Maintain detailed job records including daily reports, time tracking, and progress updates.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications:
- Valid Oklahoma Journeyman Electrician License (required).
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical theory, NEC, and OSHA safety standards.
- Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using standard electrical tools and testing equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied environments (indoors/outdoors, heights, confined spaces).
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Qualifications:
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial facilities (e.g., manufacturing plants, warehouses, hospitals, schools, data centers).
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Active Journeyman’s or Contractor’s License required.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Experience working on government construction projects is strongly .
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Work may be required in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Must wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses) at all times; respirator when required.
- Ability to work 8–10 hour days, 40+ hours per week, including overtime and night shifts as needed.
- Physical labor is a significant part of the job (over 70%).
- Must be able to crawl, stoop, bend, kneel, lift/push/pull heavy objects (50+ lbs), and perform repetitive tasks using hands and arms.
