Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJobsRUs.com is hiring for an Electrician for a large automotive parts manufacturing facility in Saline, MI.
**A State Journeyman license is required for this position**.
Shift hours are 7:00am - 3:00pm (but subject to bump per the CBA)
The role of a Plant Maintenance Electrician is to participate in the Total and Preventive Maintenance
(TPM) for all equipment and facilities
Responsibilities:
•Install, repair and maintain all equipment and facilities.
•Analyze electrical and operational problems on assigned equipment and make necessary
corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
•Try out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime.
•Give advice on technical specifications of new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities, making sure manufacturing, maintainability and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met.
•Maintain good housekeeping standards and support 5S improvement activities as needed.
•Take part and improve effectiveness using FES tools: propose and implement continuous
productivity, process, and quality improvement actions for all facilities.
•Escalate issues to Supervisor as necessary.
•Ensure proper application and follow all HSE procedures in the workplace, including the customer and company locations.
•Record operational data, voltages, IR recordings, feeds and parameters for use in set-up and preventive maintenance records.
•Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
•Follow requirements established in Saline Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.
•Work overtime as necessary.
•Work flexibly to meet customer demands and needs.
•Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company
Knowledge / Skills:
•Knowledgeable in NFPA 70E arc flash requirements.
•At least 3 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
•Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity which require an
extensive knowledge of complex equipment circuitry and trouble shooting skills.
•Electro-mechanics and automation skills.
•Print reading ability (hydraulic, electrical, and Pneumatic).
•Working knowledge of Quality system and Health, Safety and Environment skills.
•Strong technical problem-solving skills
•Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
•Shift preference determined by seniority, must be willing to work off shift (non-day shift).
•Proficient level of English required.
