We are looking for a Certified Electrician to join our team of Electrification Specialists. Bonus if you have experience in HVAC or Plumbing as well.
You'll be primarily responsible for running new circuits for our industry-leading gas-to-electric projects (e.g., heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, induction ranges, dryers, and EV chargers). Additionally, installing new panels (including smart SPAN panels), select rewiring, and occasional peripheral electrical work.
The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of codes and standards, knows how to perform an electrical load calculation, has a California Certified electrician certificate, and is passionate about the electrification movement.
Compensation:
$30 - $45 hourly
Responsibilities:
Required:
- Run new circuits to 240V appliances in accordance with building codes
- Install new panels and subpanels
- Use creative and code-compliant solutions to avoid panel upgrades
- Identify existing code violations and recommend solutions
- Troubleshoot electrical issues
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Clear communicator with a level head and good customer engagement abilities
- Ability to work independently when needed
- Bonus if you have some HVAC or plumbing experience, or are willing to learn
Desired:
- C-10 or California Certified Electrician (passed the state exam)
- 5+ years of journey-level electrical experience
- Solar and/or battery installation experience
- Electric vehicle charging wiring and installation
- Workforce education and training experience
