Duties/Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installations: Installing wiring systems, electrical panels, lighting, and specialized equipment.
• Maintenance and Repair: Diagnosing and fixing electrical failures, replacing components, maintaining backup systems, and troubleshooting.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensuring installations meet codes and regulations, performing safety inspections, and adhering to guidelines like OSHA.
• System Upgrades and Energy Efficiency: Upgrading systems for efficiency, installing energy-efficient solutions, and conducting energy audits.
• Collaboration and Project Management: Interpreting blueprints, collaborating with other contractors, planning layouts, and training apprentices.
• Preforms other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license required.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with the Electrical Code and local codes

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to see to discern -coded wiring.
• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in constricted areas.
