As we expand our production capabilities, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician II is responsible for hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and facilities, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems. This role also includes mentoring apprentices and junior technicians, perform mechanical installations, and documenting work through our maintenance system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings
  • Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on electrical systems
  • Interpret and work from P&ID diagrams, equipment plans, and manuals
  • Complete mechanical installations based on layout and instructions
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities using the QT9 system and other digital tools
  • Use a computer to review manuals, track tasks, order parts, and communicate updates
  • Mentor Maintenance Technician Level 1 team members and support co-op development
  • Support contractors, inspections, and general facility needs
  • Maintain safe working conditions, wear appropriate PPE, and follow safety protocols
  • Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor or Head of Engineering regarding progress and needs
  • Perform additional duties as required

Required:

  • S. Citizenship
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining industrial equipment
  • Hands-on experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals
  • Ability to perform mechanical installations
  • Good Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Windows, digital maintenance systems)
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Comfortable mentoring junior team members

:

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 environments
  • Experience with PLCs, industrial assembly and extrusion systems
  • Certified in a skilled trade (mechanical, electrical, machining, or welding)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods
  • Tolerate noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable with PPE, including full face masks and respirator
