Job Title: Site Safety Officer – Portland, OR

Location: Portland, Oregon

Schedule: Full-time, temporary (mid-September – May)

Compensation: $35 – $45/hour (DOE, W-2 or 1099)

About the Role:

This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and an interest in learning and applying workplace safety practices. You’ll work directly on the job site, supporting daily safety operations, observing work activities, and helping ensure that safety procedures are being followed. Training and guidance will be provided, making this a great opportunity to build hands-on safety experience while contributing to a safe, efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Monitor on-site activities to ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA regulations

· Conduct safety observations and document findings

· Communicate safety expectations and requirements to site personnel

· Assist with safety meetings, hazard identification, and corrective action follow-up

· Support site management in maintaining a safe work environment

Qualifications:

· OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)

· Strong communication skills and attention to detail

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a construction environment

· Positive attitude and willingness to learn

· Prior experience in construction, safety, or similar environments is a plus but not required
