Join a leading semiconductor company as an IT Project Manager – M&A!


Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead critical projects supporting mergers and acquisitions. This role involves planning and delivering secure transitions of IT systems, ensuring compliance and confidentiality throughout the process. You’ll collaborate with global teams and third-party vendors to execute time-sensitive initiatives with precision.


Role Details

  • Location: Cambridge (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office)
  • Contract Rate: £750 per day
  • Contract Length: 6 months (with potential extension)


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver IT projects using defined methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) within established governance frameworks.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and manage globally dispersed resources effectively.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and interdependencies across projects.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, architects, and technical leads to ensure timely delivery.
  • Produce high-quality documentation (PID, RAID logs, plans, closure reports) aligned with project lifecycle standards.
  • Communicate project status updates clearly to stakeholders and governance boards.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors to ensure adherence to delivery plans and timelines.


Key Requirements

  • Proven experience managing IT workstreams within M&A programs.
  • Experience of IT project management in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams (service desks, senior engineers).
  • Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and integration processes.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
