The Information Technology Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Transportation Services, GO.gov transition project. This role will act as the principal technical lead for all areas of the project, including but not limited to integration, data and reporting, IT security and user management, access management. The IT PM will ensure the GO.gov solution is fully integrated with partner IT solutions as necessary. The IT PM will work closely with the Federal GO.gov Transition Manager and team to identify key functionalities and features desired by the Department to realize a system of high efficiency and performance. The IT PM will identify difficulties and challenges and overcome them within the project timeline while minimizing budgetary increases The IT PM will ensure support program areas, associated activities, and associated work products are transitioned from ETS2 to GO.gov, including but not limited to data and reporting, training and communications, Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, transition travel documents (cutover), and more. The IT PM will coordinate Access Management, profile institution, internal and external access management, efficient profile creation, Robotic Process Automation (chat bots) for support, and other project technical activities. The IT PM would support the proper decommissioning of the legacy ETS2 system, its integration middleware, data archiving and other IT end of life cycle activities.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience in IT management with a primary focus on project management, system integration, data archival, and coordination efforts across multiple teams
- 5+ years’ of experience working in a program management and Agile platform in a leadership role
- 3 years’ experience with travel systems – but not required
- 1-2 years’ in an IT leadership role
- Experience in generating and analysis of multiple reports from varying data sources
- MS Project at the advanced level to include resourcing of teams and project timeline estimations
- MS Excel/PowerPoint at the advanced level to include spreadsheet development and production, applying formulas, pivot tables, sorting data, charting and graphing data and basic analysis, and with creation of senior level dashboards
- Ability to create and present Executive-level reports to all levels of senior management
- Must be able to work independently with limited direction; ability to multitask is critical
- Ability to Travel as required
Desired Skills:
- Experience with SAP Concur or other travel programs and systems
- Processing Mapping Experience (Visio, etc.)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Advanced skills in MS Project
- Be able to read data, analyze and present program data and translate into key business decisions
- Must have both excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a team
- Must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Professional in appearance and demeanor at all times
