AAC is seeking an IT Project Manager for our client in the food, retail, and fuel operations space in Glen Rock, NJ.
** We can only consider candidates local to the Glen Rock, NJ area, although the position will involve 1 day per week remote. **
Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to excel and be an integral part of the execution and implementation of key systems and processes across all functional areas, that will align the strategic commitments and goals of our client. The successful candidate will be a confident people-person who can seamlessly adapt to the organizational culture. The role will form as a part of the US IT Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Develop project plans and schedules, identify resource and monitor project timelines
- Coordinate project meetings for both internal and external project team members
- Document and distribute notes and action items for all attended meetings
- Collaborate across departments to ensure optimal project results
- Monitor and support all deadlines, budgets and project activities
- Communicate weekly project status both verbal and/or written
- Maintain tracking tools for managing project activities, tasks and deliverables
- Perform quality assurance tasks as required
- Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project deliverables and meet organizational goals
- Evaluate and assess project performance (Lessons Learn, Document Repository, etc.) to ensure continuous improvement for the organization
Qualifications Preferred:
- Exposure or knowledge of IT principles, systems, and/or concepts
- Associate's degree or higher
- Knowledge and experience of Fuel, Food, and/or Retail
- Theoretical and practical Project Management knowledge (strategic planning, risk, schedule, resource and change management)
Experience & Skills Required:
- Ideally 5+ years of IT Project Management experience
- PMP/CAPM certification required
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach that influences the ability to build strong relationships and meet deadlines
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrates ability to manage projects with varied complexities and influence stakeholders
- Demonstrate a resilient and calm demeanor during constraints and obstacles to accomplish an optimal solution
- Demonstrate a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and the drive to exceed expectations
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit reflective of a self-starter that takes initiative
- Pays close attention to details and deliveries a high level of accuracy
- Previous experience with vendor management and/or account management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word)
- Previous experience with ERP Software(s)
