Overview:
At Vision IT, we put people first-our employees, their families, and our customers as a Senior IT Project Manager will lead strategic IT project management efforts supporting the Secure Global Network infrastructure of the Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power Directorate. This position manages a project portfolio valued at approximately $2.5 million and supports over 500 users across the directorate, including oversight of several guest networks. This role requires deep collaboration, cross-functional leadership, and a strong technical acumen to drive mission success.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full project lifecycle: initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close projects using Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies.

Provide technical and analytical leadership to project teams.

Build and manage collaborative relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project dependencies and compliance requirements.

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues through proactive strategies.

Develop and lead change management and communication plans, ensuring coordination with the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) and facility security to meet critical security requirements, including CONOPS approvals.

Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for the directorate's IT initiatives.

Manage and prioritize work orders for the Facility Configuration Management Board on a quarterly basis.

Lead project kick-off meetings and serve as the primary liaison among project sponsors, engineers, security personnel, end users, IT staff, contractors, and vendors.

Provide consistent, clear reporting and updates to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive IT project management experience.

Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure projects.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and interface with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Experience in DoD environments with a strong understanding of secure infrastructure and compliance protocols.

Active TS/SCI clearance and SAP eligibility required.
Qualifications:

PMP, Agile, or other relevant project management certifications.

Experience with Facility Configuration Management Boards and coordination with security authorities.

Familiarity with CONOPS documentation and OSI processes.

Strong understanding of Secure Network Environments in classified domains.
