About the Role
Morris Business Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Project Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of advanced technology solutions. This hybrid role combines hands-on IT engineering with project leadership—ideal for someone who can conceptualize, build, and manage network environments from the ground up.
You’ll work directly with ownership and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that help our clients achieve their business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Project Implementation & Delivery
• Plan, design, and execute IT infrastructure and systems projects, including network upgrades, server migrations, cloud deployments, and security initiatives.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to align project goals and technical requirements.

Technical Engineering & Support
• Configure and deploy hardware, software, and networking components across client environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues during implementation and transition phases.
• Provide post-project documentation, user training, and knowledge transfer to ensure smooth handoffs.

Security & Risk Management
• Scope the safeguarding of company and client systems from data loss, attacks, and vulnerabilities.
• Develop, update, and enforce IT security policies and best practices.
• Monitor systems for compliance, patch management, and backup integrity.

Customer-Facing IT Support
• Lead new client onboarding and support for industry-specific software.
• Maintain ongoing customer satisfaction and strong communication post-project.

Technology Strategy & Documentation
• Research and recommend emerging technologies that align with company and client objectives.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal processes.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in IT engineering or project implementation
• Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP), and cybersecurity
• Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
• Familiarity with MSP tools such as ConnectWise, CEOJuice, and FMAudit
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, PMP, CCNA)
