IT Infrastructure Manager

The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining, and advancing the region’s IT infrastructure to support Taghleef Industries’ business operations. This role oversees the provision, installation, support, and optimization of hardware, networks, servers, storage, and cloud systems. The position ensures reliability, security, scalability, and alignment with global IT strategies while leading a regional team and contributing to global infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the provision, installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.
  • Align regional IT infrastructure strategy with global IT goals and business needs.
  • Plan, manage, and execute infrastructure projects—including upgrades, expansions, and lifecycle replacements—within budget and timelines.
  • Evaluate new technologies and solutions to improve business efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Ensure adherence to global IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Oversee the availability, integrity, and performance of network and server infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).
  • Maintain and support LAN/WAN environments, firewalls, storage systems, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, VxRail).
  • Ensure implementation of security controls, patches, and firewall policies to maintain a strong cybersecurity posture.
  • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies and testing.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with IT service levels and SLAs.
  • Manage hybrid infrastructure, including cloud platforms (Azure, OCI, GCP) and on-premises datacenters.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Intune, Purview, Entra, Teams, SharePoint) and ensure alignment with enterprise security and access controls.
  • Support virtualization, storage, and server management, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Lead and mentor IT infrastructure staff across the region.
  • Define team objectives, performance targets, and development plans.
  • Foster technical growth, collaboration, and a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Coordinate with global IT management to align on initiatives and best practices.
  • Manage external vendors, contractors, and service providers for hardware, software, and network services.
  • Oversee contracts, SLAs, and CAPEX requests related to infrastructure investments.
  • Ensure effective resource utilization and cost management across the region.
  • Coordinate infrastructure-related activities with internal business units and external partners.
  • Establish and maintain monitoring systems for network performance, availability, and security incidents.
  • Produce documentation, including technical specifications, project plans, SLAs, and management reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date infrastructure diagrams, configuration records, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL and project management (PMP) frameworks.
  • Stay informed on emerging IT trends, infrastructure technologies, and cybersecurity developments.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure performance, reduce costs, and enhance reliability.
  • Participate in global IT infrastructure initiatives, contributing expertise and regional insights.
  • Travel as required to other Taghleef Industries sites across the Americas and globally to support projects and align IT initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:                                    

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network+, MCSE, ITIL, or PMP are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within a medium-to-large manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale network infrastructures in a manufacturing setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in network security practices and technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Effective leadership, team management, and project management skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and business acumen.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international travel.
  • On-call availability for critical network issues or emergencies as required.
