Opportunity

The Hardware Technician provides Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, assessing and documenting current configurations, analyzing requirements, preparing hardware specifications, developing installation schedules, documenting configuration changes, and training site personnel. Additionally, building specialized interconnecting cables is required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.

Install and configure hardware and associated cabling.

Maintain government and vendor fiber optic equipment and telephone systems.

Follow standard operating procedures, including ticketing and documentation.

Support network upgrade projects and end-user connectivity needs.

Qualifications

Minimum education and experience:

High school/GED plus 2-4 years of experience and Security+ CE Certification. Alternatively, an Associate's degree with 2 years or a Bachelor's degree in a technical field.

Required certifications:

One of the following prior to start: A+ CE, NET+ CE, SSCP.

Skilled in hardware installation, repair, and troubleshooting.

Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Effective time management and ability to work independently.

Experience working remotely with end-users.

Knowledge of Windows 7 and 10.

Familiarity with Active Directory security and policies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to drive a company vehicle.

Availability for an 8-hour shift between 6am-6pm.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Clearance:

TS/SCI/FSP clearance required.

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $83,000 annually.
