Position Summary

As an IT Development Engineer at Epson Telford Limited, you will be involved in all aspects of Software Development and Factory Systems.

Your role includes designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions to support operational efficiency and system integration.

Main duties and responsibilities

• To Design, build and implement new Software Developments and factory systems using modern programming tools (This is the full development lifecycle – Initial Analysis, Development, Hardware specification, build and testing. This also include user and support team training)

\n

• To learn the Software systems which currently support the Epson Telford factory processes

\n

• To actively migrate the Support functions (for SD and FS) to the First line Support Engineers and Technicians in the IT team and the Engineering teams

\n

• To mentor Software Development apprentice when requiredTo provide 3rd level Support for Software Developments and factory Systems (SD and FS) within the ETL Epson Telford Limited business

\n

• To work with the Amsterdam support team (CCS) when appropriate

\n

• Contributes to inter-departmental teams on I.T. and other projects

\n

Skills required

• An understanding of Software Developments and systems

• An understanding of manufacturing and processes

\n

• Some basic servers or network knowledge

\n

• Troubleshooting skills

\n

• Good personal and communication skills

\n

\n

Qualifications

Essential:

• Degree level qualified in Software Development

Experience required

Essential:

\n
• Software Development or Software Support experience

\n

• Understanding of VB.Net or PHP

\n

Desirable:

\n
• 2 Years’ experience in IT

\n

• Helpdesk use and call logging

\n

• Codeigniter 4

\n

• MySQL Database (PHPMyAdmin)
