Inventory Planner - Licensed Apparel
Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Inventory Planner to manage and optimize inventory levels across wholesale accounts. This role plays a critical part in supporting financial goals by ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time. The Inventory Planner will collaborate cross-functionally and leverage data-driven insights to inform planning and inventory decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels for wholesale channels, balancing supply and demand to meet financial and operational targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with sales, finance and production teams to align on inventory strategies and ensure inventory supports both sell-in initiatives and ongoing replenishment needs.
- Forecasting:
- Develop and update inventory forecasts, incorporating sales trends, and historical performance
- Inventory Analysis:
- Track and analyze inventory performance; identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete inventory and propose actionable solutions to improve turnover and reduce risk.
- Reporting & Insights:
- Create and present regular reports on inventory health, sales trends, and key risks or opportunities to senior management and stakeholders.
- Clear Communication:
- Maintain transparent and proactive communication on inventory status, upcoming purchase needs, and financial implications with cross-functional partners.
- Process Optimization:
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline inventory processes, improve forecast accuracy, and enhance inventory flow across the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, or supply chain management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Business intelligence tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Salary Range: $80K – $100K depending on experience
