Job Description

Title: Inventory & Materials Specialist

Location: Madison, WI

Pay Rate: $25/hr



Job Summary

The Senior Warehouse Associate will support daily inventory, materials management, shipping, and receiving operations. This role ensures accurate material flow, proper documentation, and timely delivery of goods to support manufacturing, testing, and other business functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, equipment, and packages.
  • Manage inventory levels for GMP and non-GMP materials, including safety stock.
  • Prepare and schedule outgoing shipments; coordinate with other departments.
  • Label, package, store, and move materials per procedures.
  • Update ERP and inventory control documents (SAP ).
  • Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, problem orders, and transfer issues.
  • Perform cycle counts, root-cause analysis, and support annual physical inventory.
  • Identify overstock, slow-moving, or obsolete inventory.
  • Deliver materials to appropriate departments or storage locations.
  • Support supply chain operations including material handling and logistics.
  • Help maintain and improve inventory control and warehouse procedures.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (some college ).
  • Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, materials management, or similar.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in cGMP or scientific environments .
  • ERP experience (SAP strongly ).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
