Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail focused Inventory Management and Supply Chain Coordinator to support our growing importing and distribution business. This role will work as part of a collaborative team to ensure the efficient movement of chilled and frozen lamb, mutton and petfood products across the US. It is expected the candidate to move through different roles within the team to ensure a wholistic understanding of the business from importing, customs clearance, warehousing, inventory management, transportation and delivery to customers. The candidate ideally has experience in perishable supply chains and understands the precision and timely attention to detail required to deliver top quality service and product to customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize shortages, and prevent overstock situations. Implement efficient inventory control measures.

Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure the smooth flow of products from the source to our customers. Monitor and optimize supply chain processes for maximum efficiency.

Customer Service: Act as a key point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and concerns. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs promptly and professionally.

Production Fulfilment: Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of customer orders. Coordinate production schedules and communicate effectively with all relevant departments.

Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to assess sales trends, forecast demand, and identify opportunities for improvement in operations. Generate reports for management review.

Process Optimization: Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in sales operations.
Qualifications:

3-5 years of supply chain, logistics, or inventory coordination experience (perishable goods or meat industry experience ).

Strong organizational skills, initiative with excellent attention to detail.

Familiarity with import logistics, perishable or cold chain management, or regulatory compliance is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or inventory management systems (Rootstock or Salesforce ).

Effective communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
