We are seeking a detail-oriented MRO / Inventory Coordinator to support maintenance and manufacturing operations by managing Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) inventory. This position plays a critical role in ensuring maintenance teams have the parts, tools, and supplies needed to minimize equipment downtime and maintain efficient production. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and experienced with inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory levels for maintenance parts, tools, and operating supplies.
- Receive, inspect, label, and organize incoming inventory.
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials to prevent shortages.
- Create and track purchase orders while coordinating deliveries with vendors.
- Work closely with the maintenance, purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure timely availability of critical parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP or inventory management system.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Track equipment spare parts, consumables, and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure storeroom organization and cleanliness while following established inventory control procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, organization, and cost efficiency.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is a plus.
- 2+ years of inventory, MRO, purchasing, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment .
- Experience using ERP or inventory management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Experience
- Manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
- Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with spare parts management and preventive maintenance inventory.
