Position Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our reputable third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse team. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient
management of inventory within the warehouse. Your primary focus will be on maintaining optimal stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing effective inventory control procedures to support smooth logistics operations.

Responsibilities:
● Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of all products stored in the warehouse. Coordinate with the warehouse management system (WMS) to update inventory records in real-time, ensuring stock availability for timely order fulfillment.
● Auditing and Reconciliation: Conduct regular physical inventory audits to verify stock availability quantities and reconcile any discrepancies between physical counts and digital records. Investigate and resolve root causes of discrepancies to improve inventory accuracy.
● Cycle Counting: Implement cycle counting practices to perform frequent, random inventory checks for high-velocity items. Utilize cycle count data to identify potential issues and maintain inventory integrity.
● Stock Rotation: Ensure the adherence to the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) and First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) principles for proper stock rotation. Minimize the risk of product obsolescence and maintain product quality standards.
● Order Fulfillment Support: Collaborate with the order processing and fulfillment teams to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly. Provide timely updates on stock availability and potential inventory shortages.
● Inventory Reporting: Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock movement. Present data-driven insights tomanagement to optimize inventory control strategies.
● Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance inventory control processes and implement best practices. Streamline procedures to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
● Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry
standards when handling and storing inventory. Adhere to company policies and
procedures, including security measures for high-value items.

● Training and Collaboration: Train and guide warehouse staff on proper inventory handling techniques and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.


Requirements:
● High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields is a plus.
● Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role in a 3PL warehouse environment.
● Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
● Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to conduct accurate inventory audits and reconciliation.
● Familiarity with inventory control best practices, cycle counting, and stock rotation methods.
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse teams and management.
● Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to inventory handling.
● Physical stamina to perform inventory checks, lifting, and moving of inventory as needed.
