Quantity Surveyor – Intermediate Level\nProject: Facade Remediation – Basingstoke - £15M\nSalary up to £50,000 + Mileage + 25 Days Holiday + Pension\nBlaymires Recruitment is working with a well-established Principal Contractor specialising in façade remediation and external refurbishment, who is looking to appoint an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.\nWith a strong pipeline of secured work and projects ranging up to £20M, this business has built an excellent reputation delivering rainscreen cladding replacement, fire remediation, and external envelope works across the South.\nThe Opportunity\nYou will be site-based on a £15M façade remediation scheme in Basingstoke, working as part of an experienced commercial team.\nThis role offers a genuine opportunity for:\n * An Intermediate Quantity Surveyor already running projects, or\n * An Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to step up and take on more responsibility\nYou’ll be supported by senior management while being given the autonomy to develop and progress your career.\nKey Responsibilities\n * Managing the financial performance of the project\n * Preparing and submitting applications for payment\n * Producing monthly cost reports and forecasts\n * Managing subcontractor procurement and payments\n * Identifying, pricing, and agreeing variations\n * Issuing delay notices in line with contract requirements\n * Assisting with and agreeing final accounts\n * Carrying out site measurements and valuations\nRequirements\n * Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role\n * Background working for a main contractor or specialist subcontractor\n * Experience with JCT contracts (NEC knowledge beneficial)\n * Strong commercial awareness and communication skills\n * Ambition to develop within a growing specialist contractor\nWhat’s on Offer\n * Salary up to £50,000 (depending on experience)\n * Mileage allowance\n * 25 days holiday + bank holidays\n * Pension scheme\n * Ongoing training and career development\n * Clear progression opportunities within a busy and expanding business\nIf you would like further information, then contact Steve at Blaymires Recruitment on (phone number removed)
