A growing and forward-thinking Building Services Design Consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Birmingham office. Specialising in Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and Building Physics design, the business delivers low-carbon, high-performance solutions across sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, and custodial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical design solutions across a range of sectors

• Work on HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems

• Collaborate with senior engineers and contribute to project delivery

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes

• Support sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions

• Produce quality design documentation and technical reports



What we’re looking for

• Experience in Mechanical Building Services Design

• Project background in commercial, education, healthcare, or custodial sectors

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD (experience with Revit is a bonus)

• Full UK driving licence

• Ambition to progress towards chartership
