Job Title: Design Mechanical Engineer
Location: Birmingham, UK
Type: Permanent, full-time (36.25 hours/week under an agile working model)

Key Responsibilities
·Deliver design engineering across all project stages, contributing drawings, specifications, and calculations manually and via computer-assisted methods
·Liaise with design team members to understand client requirements and assist with selecting appropriate solutions, plant, and equipment
·Represent the team in project meetings and support site installations by ensuring compliance with designs
·Implement sustainable design practices, including low-zero carbon technologies (LZC)
·Monitor your own design work for quality, budget alignment, and delivery timelines
·Commit to continuous professional development and stay informed on emerging technologies and crossdisciplinary methods
What They're Looking For
·Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering-or HNC/HND with solid design experience
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Relux/Dialux, Amtech, and Revit
·Working knowledge of British and European Standards and Building Regulations; familiarity with HTMs is advantageous
·Professional membership with CIBSE or IET desirable
·Experience with renewable technologies and BREEAM sustainability frameworks
·Appreciation of electrical engineering to facilitate cross-disciplinary teamwork
