Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services & Decarbonisation\nI’m working with a growing M&E and Sustainability consultancy who are delivering multi-million-pound building services and decarbonisation projects across residential, industrial, and commercial sectors. The company has built a strong reputation in sustainable engineering and low-carbon design, offering engineers the chance to work on projects that make a real impact.\nAs part of their expansion, they’re looking to appoint an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of building services design from feasibility to detailed delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly-skilled design and energy team and contribute to projects from new builds and refurbishments to heat decarbonisation schemes.\nKey Responsibilities – Mechanical Design Engineer:\n * Deliver mechanical building services designs across HVAC, low-carbon heating and hot & cold water services\n * Integrate low/zero carbon technologies (heat pumps, district heating, and renewable energy solutions)\n * Produce drawings, schematics, and calculations using AutoCAD and industry-standard software\n * Develop technical specifications, equipment schedules, and performance specifications\n * Collaborate closely with the in-house Energy Consultancy team to support decarbonisation and net zero projects\n * Contribute to multi-million-pound projects including schools, hospitals, leisure centres, and commercial developments\nIdeal Candidate:\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical building services design with experience in HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.

Candidates should be confident working independently and as part of a design team.
