This consultancy is deeply involved in the regeneration of Stockport, working on high-profile developments including residential and office towers, leisure facilities, and contributing to the redevelopment of Grenfell.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in the design and delivery of a variety of building services projects. What you’ll be doing:
* Working as part of a design team delivering the full range of electrical services from concept to detailed design
* Using software packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Dialux/Relux
* Liaising closely with other professionals, including architects, surveyors, and contractors across both in-house and external teams
* Attending a range of project and technical meetings
* Ensuring designs adhere to current Health and Safety regulations
* Advising clients and architects on energy use, low carbon technologies, and power systems to improve sustainability and efficiency
What we need from you:
* At least 2 years’ experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally within a consultancy environment
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems design including power, lighting, fire alarms, and containment
* Experience running projects including calculations, specifications, and drawings
* A degree or higher qualification (HNC/HND) in Building Services or Electrical Engineering
* Competency in software such as AutoCAD and lighting calculation tools (Dialux/Relux)
