Calvert Architectural Group, Inc. (CAG) is looking for a new team member to assist in the delivery of some very interesting and sometimes complex Industrial Warehouse Distribution and Manufacturing projects. These projects typically require a thorough understanding of the Building and Fire Codes. At this writing If you find yourself lacking a familiarity with the codes and you want to improve in this area, this may be the position that you are looking for.

Over twenty-five years ago CAG proposed to develop a specialized niche associated with Hazardous Occupancy Groups and the code knowledge that is required for these occupancies. Today we are recognized as one of the most knowledgeable architectural firm in Southern California for these types of projects. This code knowledge and experience has been the catalyst for CAG’s participation in some truly amazing and interesting projects.
Position Details
Experience: Minimum of four years of experience in the Industrial architecture arena. Familiarity with AutoCAD, version 2021 or more recent
Responsibilities: Participation in the design phase, preparation of design drawings, preparation of the Construction Documents, Coordination with consulting engineers, coordination of the plan check process and coordination through the construction process.
Work Location: Long Beach, CA
Start Date: After the holidays; by mid-January preferably
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: Based on the agreed hourly rate. Pay checks are issued every two weeks. CAG prefers to avoid working overtime, If such occasions occur, CAG does pay overtime in accordance with California laws.
Health Benefits: You will be eligible to participate in the company’s Blue Shield health plan within 30 days after you start. We will try to coordinate the transition of your start date so that insurance coverage is seamless.
Paid Time Off (PTO): You will accrue an agreed upon number of days of paid time off annually, in addition to the six paid holidays that we observe.
