Interim Project Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to take charge of delivering high-impact, global initiatives within our client’s large and complex professional services organisation, backed by the momentum of private equity investment.


This role requires exceptional stakeholder management skills, the ability to navigate matrix structures, and proven expertise in delivering cross-border projects that involve multiple business units, service lines, and geographies.


The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic priorities with operational execution, and ensuring projects deliver measurable value to the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of global projects across multiple regions, time zones, and cultures.
  • Develop clear project charters, governance structures, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Coordinate with senior partners, functional leaders, and cross-border teams to align objectives and secure buy-in.
  • Manage complex interdependencies between business units, functions, and technology teams.
  • Drive effective risk management, change management, and issue resolution on a global scale.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reports and updates to steering committees and leadership boards.
  • Ensure compliance with firmwide policies, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Promote consistency in project delivery through best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the maturity of the firm’s global PMO function.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 8–10+ years of project management experience within a large, global, matrixed professional services organisation (e.g., consulting, legal, accounting, or financial advisory).
  • Experience project managing ERP and various other technologies within organisations.
  • Proven success delivering complex, multi-country or multi-practice projects.
  • Strong understanding of professional services operating models and client service demands.
  • Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent) highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with cultural awareness and diplomacy.
  • Proficiency in enterprise-level project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Clarity, Jira).
