Interim HSE Advisor – 3-Month Contract – c£40–45k p.a.

We're working with a pioneering clean technology company in Guildford, a recognised leader in hydrogen fuel cell innovation. As the business continues to grow and evolve, they’re seeking an Interim HSE Advisor to provide hands-on support over a key 3-month period. You’ll play an important role in maintaining and promoting a strong health, safety, and environmental culture, working closely with the existing EHS Manager.



What you’ll be doing:



Conducting risk assessments and recommending practical measures to minimise risks



Developing and updating safe working procedures across key operational areas



Carrying out regular site inspections and audits to ensure best practices are being followed



Ensuring full compliance with current HSE legislation and internal policies



Keeping accurate records and producing actionable reports with clear recommendations



Investigating incidents/near misses and compiling statistical insights for leadership teams



Overseeing safe installation of equipment and ensuring procedures are in place



Supporting safe handling and disposal of hazardous substances (e.g. asbestos)



Providing advice on specialist areas such as fire safety, noise control, hazardous materials, and machinery safeguarding



What we’re looking for:



Prior experience conducting and managing risk assessments in a practical environment



NEBOSH qualification (or actively working towards)



Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset



Ideally some exposure to engineering, manufacturing, chemical or gas environments
