Systems Leader

For one of key clients we are seeking Project Engineers, Interface Managers and Area Construction Leads on long term consultancy contracts. 

In this role, you will take ownership of a defined Construction Area within a large-scale project, ensuring that all technical and contractual requirements are clearly defined, aligned, and delivered. You will work closely with stakeholders to drive efficient system development and establish structured plans to validate and confirm requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in requirements management within a PMC/EPC environment, combined with a proactive mindset, strong analytical thinking, and excellent organisational and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all implementation requirements within your Construction Area are aligned with contractual obligations and properly controlled
  • Define, implement, and manage the requirements management process from initial capture through to final acceptance
  • Develop and drive the requirements strategy in collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders
  • Coordinate closely with Contract and Change Management teams to manage and implement change requests
  • Establish and promote a strong requirements management culture across the project team
  • Engage with clients to understand project needs and ensure delivery aligns with expectations and quality standards
  • Prioritise requirements and define delivery timelines, ensuring clear documentation of scope, cost, and performance criteria
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams across design, development, and testing phases
  • Ensure all design changes and enhancements remain aligned with existing systems and project standards
  • Maintain full traceability of requirements, including documentation, change control, and reporting
  • Track, assess, and prioritise risks and issues, working closely with Risk Management teams to define mitigation actions
  • Provide regular progress updates and interface with senior stakeholders across multiple disciplines

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Project/Program Management
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in requirements management or a similar role within large-scale EPC//PMC projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage across multiple functions and seniority levels
  • Solid understanding of change management, risk management, and project delivery processes
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in complex project environments
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
