Overview

Energy Jobline is supporting a major international energy infrastructure programme and is seeking an experienced Integration & Interface Manager to support the coordination and delivery of complex project scopes across multiple contractors and work packages.

The role will focus on ensuring effective integration between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational activities across both offshore and onshore project elements.

 

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Integration & Interface Manager will oversee the planning and coordination of technical and execution interfaces across multiple project packages.

The position plays a key role in ensuring alignment between contractors, vendors, and stakeholders, helping to integrate engineering deliverables, construction activities, and commissioning schedules to support safe and efficient project execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project interface management procedures and maintain the project interface register
  • Coordinate interface activities between engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Facilitate regular interface coordination meetings to identify and resolve technical or execution conflicts
  • Monitor the exchange of technical information, drawings, and documentation between project parties
  • Ensure design changes and updates are communicated effectively across all affected packages
  • Support integration of engineering deliverables, procurement activities, and construction sequences to prevent scope conflicts
  • Coordinate tie-ins and integration points between facilities, systems, and project packages
  • Work with the planning team to incorporate interface milestones into the overall project schedule
  • Track critical interface deliverables and escalate risks that may impact project timelines
  • Maintain interface issue logs and support resolution of technical or contractual interface challenges
  • Coordinate with operations teams to support commissioning readiness and project handover activities

 

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience managing technical interfaces within complex oil & gas or energy infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of engineering, construction, commissioning, and operational integration
  • Experience working within EPC / EPIC project environments involving multiple contractors
  • Proven experience supporting offshore operations and SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills across multidisciplinary project teams
  • Familiarity with interface management tools, project coordination processes, and integrated project delivery methods

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or similar discipline)
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience within oil & gas or major energy infrastructure projects
  • At least 5 years’ experience in interface management roles within PMC or client-representative environments
  • Experience supporting offshore, subsea, and onshore facilities within integrated project developments
  • Knowledge of EPC contract structures and interface management practices

 

Additional Information

The advertised day rate applies to independent consultants operating on a contract basis. Candidates who prefer to be engaged as employees of the client may be offered a different remuneration structure.
