Job Title: API Integration Engineer Role Summary

The API Integration Engineer is responsible for designing developing and managing secure and scalable APIs within a banking environment. The role enables seamless integration between core systems digital platforms and third-party partners while ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement middleware and integration solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and regulatory standards.
• Manage the full API lifecycle (design publish versioning and retirement) through API Gateway platforms.
• Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs ensuring high performance scalability and security.
• Collaborate with architecture security and business teams to support digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure proper documentation monitoring and compliance of all integrations.

Key Skills

• API development (REST/SOAP) and microservices architecture
• API Gateway platforms (MuleSoft Apigee Kong etc.)
• Cloud platforms (AWS Azure)
• API security and regulatory compliance
• Agile / DevSecOps methodologies

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• 610 years of experience in Banking/Fintech
• Relevant integration or cloud certifications (preferred)
