Insurance Defense Paralegal with 5 yrs. Construction Defect Experience

A leading litigation firm specializing in insurance defense, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in both insurance defense and the complexities of construction defect cases.

• Support attorneys in all stages of litigation, including case investigation, discovery, pleadings, and trial preparation.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for admissions, and requests for production.
• Prepare and organize exhibits and other materials for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Conduct legal research and analyze case documents and regulations, especially those related to Construction Defect.
• Manage case files and documents using legal management and e-discovery software.
• Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Maintain accurate billing records and ensure compliance with billing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience with a focus on civil litigation, including insurance defense and construction defect.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, including California court rules and deadlines.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Clio, legal management software.
• A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is .
