Play a vital role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational integrity as the Insurance and Compliance Coordinator at Country Meadows and Ecumenical Senior Living Retirement Communities. This position provides critical support in managing insurance documentation, claims administration, and regulatory compliance. This role partners with senior leadership to ensure accuracy, integrity, and adherence to federal, state, and organizational requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and highly organized, with the ability to manage complex processes that uphold our standards of compliance and operational excellence. This Insurance and Compliance Coordinator directly contributes to protecting the organization, strengthening risk management practices, and supporting long-term organizational success.
- Full time in Hershey, PA
- Pay starts at $32-38/hour based on applicable experience
Insurance and Compliance Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Insurance and Claims Administration
- Serve as administrative liaison for Allegheny Insurance Company, supporting regulatory filings, audits, and claims.
- Manage property, automobile, general liability, professional liability, and Workers’ Compensation claims in coordination with internal teams and external partners.
- Oversee commercial insurance renewals, endorsements, and builder’s risk policies; maintain claims logs and OSHA records (300, 300A, 301).
- Report and track DART (Days Away, Restricted, or Transferred) rates across campuses.
- Workers’ Compensation Support
- Coordinate claims with adjusters, attorneys, and nurse case managers; monitor incident reports and advise on return-to-work procedures.
- Represent the organization in litigation, hearings, and mediations.
- Provide and education to leadership and staff on Workers’ Compensation and insurance policies.
- Prepare and file annual self-insurance renewals and HANDs submissions.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Participate in Compliance, Risk, and Safety Committee meetings; report on Workers’ Compensation and HIPAA matters.
- Support HIPAA compliance through training programs, policy maintenance, and reporting requirements.
- Compile and analyze claims data for trends; assist with OSHA and COVID-19 reporting.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and organizational compliance standards.
- Administrative Support
- Provide high-level support to the Sr. VP of Healthcare Operations, VP of Compliance, and Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer.
- Monitor litigation involving and co-workers, prepare reports, and coordinate records requests.
- Support Department of Labor and Accident and Investigation audits; maintain physician panel lists and compliance postings.
- Participate in continuing education (seminars, webinars, conferences) and perform additional duties supporting healthcare operations and compliance functions.
Insurance and Compliance Coordinator Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher ; or equivalent experience in insurance, healthcare, or compliance administration.
- Strong knowledge of insurance processes, compliance reporting, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
