Job DescriptionJob Description
Ø Provides planning and onsite support to the plant, with a strong focus on critical safety systems and system reliability.
Ø Be willing to travel to other plants in the region to assist in duties of day to day and turnaround opportunities.
Ø Perform calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, and instrumentation installations as required.
Ø Performs all of the administrative and reporting tasks of the position including Maintaining, operating, and maintenance history for all equipment as may be required.
Ø Preparing and maintaining documentation such as EAM work orders, Contractor Service Reports, and equipment calibration records as required by Procal Instrumentation Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Ø Maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times.
Ø Troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of pneumatic, electronic, analog, and digital process control instrumentation. Troubleshoot/Repair Predictive program instrumentation and document instrumentation repair history in the CMMS system as required by site specific documentation.
Ø Troubleshoot systems utilizing Schematic Wiring Diagrams (SWD) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) as they relate to process control.
Ø Troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor repair of low voltage electrical systems (600VAC and below).
Ø Day to day Process Analytical Equipment Calibration and Maintenance, types of which may include Thermal Conductivity, Flame Ionization, Paramagnetic, Electrolytic, Fuel Cell, and Gas Chromatography process analyzers.
Ø Schedule and perform activities related to the operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic control systems, pneumatic instrumentation, control valves, motor control systems, low voltage electrical distribution, computer interfaces, and analytical equipment.
Ø Troubleshooting, Maintenance, Repair/Replacement of Automatic Control Valves.
Ø Ensure replacement spare parts are available or replaced once installed.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
v High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
v Associates in Applied Sciences Degree or equivalent apprenticeship .
v Proficiency with a variety of I/E hand tools meters, instrument calibration equipment etc.
v Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems and motors.
v Read and understand P&ID's and schematic wiring diagrams.
v Strong organization and planning skills.
v Strong computer skills.
v Written and oral communication skills.
