Please understand this role requires you to work out of town 50% - 75% of the time: All travel expenses are covered by the company.

We are seeking motivated, hard working individuals to join our team as Field Service Technicians. As a Field Service Technician with our company, you will travel to various project sites around the country from time to time to perform installations of our unique pneumatic & automated conveying systems. When back at our corporate office you will be expected to do light assembly work and small projects in our shop/warehouse. Our ideal candidates should have experience with hand tools and power tools. You should also feel comfortable reading assembly and construction schematics and drawings.

Performance based bonuses in addition to salary.

Field Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel to client sites to perform installation of 20" diameter pipe networks along with major components
  • Perform tests and diagnostics to ensure hardware is in good working order
  • Ensure all hardware, components and parts have been properly installed
  • Some maintenance and repairs of existing systems

Field Service Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • Prior experience performing repairs on mechanical equipment, preferably in a similar environment
  • Be willing to learn about our systems, equipment and components
  • Experience using common hand and power tools
  • Experience with measuring and reading drawings
  • Reasonable verbal communication skills

In this position, you will learn work with various contractors, builders, and architects, and will install and help us maintain our existing systems.

Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to determine placement of equipment
  • Test devices for improvement, safety, and quality control
  • Update older systems with improved changes, cost reductions, improvements, safety, and quality control
  • Repair or replace broken equipment or components
  • Review project installation plans
  • Perform and analyze tests to track results and make improvements
  • Work with company to make recommendations
  • Perform calibrations with components
  • Help with tests on systems and ensure compliance with company designs
  • Participate in test runs and meet safety regulations
  • Modify systems to company specifications

Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
  • Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions
  • In-depth understanding of electrical regulations, construction, materials, and industry
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Technical school degree and certification for technicians; license as required by state
  • Four to five years of experience as a technician, technician apprentice, or relevant work experience
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Excellent communicator; able to understand instructions and communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal property and safety regulations
  • Strong mathematical and technical skills
