Installation Engineer \n\n I am recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Installation Engineer to join a specialist engineering team supporting the installation, servicing and maintenance of chemical dosing systems used within commercial laundry and warewash operations onboard cruise ships worldwide.\n \nThis is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Installation Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working in varied environments and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful Installation Engineer will play a key role in supporting customers globally, with extensive travel both across the UK and internationally.\n\n The role offers a flexible home-based setup, with approximately 75% of your time spent onboard cruise ships. Travel assignments typically last between 2–4 weeks, with time back in lieu provided.\n \nAs an Installation Engineer, your responsibilities will include:\n\nInstalling, servicing, maintaining and repairing chemical dosing equipment for commercial laundry and warewash applications\nCarrying out fault-finding, diagnostics and safety inspections on installed machinery\nWorking with electrical and plumbing systems within a cruise ship environment\nSupporting onboard installation projects alongside project managers, engineers and contractors\nPreparing equipment, accessories and consumables for installation and maintenance activities\nCompleting service reports and technical documentation accurately and on time\nProviding technical support and training to customers and end users where required\nBuilding and maintaining strong customer relationships through professional service deliveryTo be considered for this Installation Engineer position, you should have:\n\nCity & Guilds 17th Edition Electrical Installation qualification or a relevant electrical engineering background\nPrevious experience within a field-based or hands-on engineering role\nExperience working with three-phase electrical systems and equipment\nStrong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills\nThe ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team\nExcellent organisation, communication and customer service skills\nA willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home for extended periods\nExperience within commercial laundry, warewash systems, dosing equipment or plumbing environments would be advantageousThis Installation Engineer opportunity would suit an adaptable and safety-conscious engineer looking for a varied role that combines technical challenges, international travel and customer-facing engineering support.\n In return, the successful Installation Engineer can expect:\n\nSalary of £40,000 - £45,000\nPermanent, full-time position\nFlexible home-based working arrangement\nExtensive international travel opportunities\nTime back in lieu for travel assignments\nLong-term career development within a specialist engineering environmentIf you are an experienced Installation Engineer looking for your next challenge, I would be keen to hear from you.\n Ian Broadhurst\n (phone number removed)\n (url removed)
