Installation and Operations Lead
Job DescriptionJob Description
Installation and Operations Lead
Who You Are: You’re a resourceful, proactive, and handy construction, facilities management, mover, or equipment installation professional looking to take the next step in your career. You’re eager to help build an innovative new company by leading the installation of temporary, modular wall systems at construction sites and commercial facilities.
The Opportunity: You will lead the design, planning, installation, reconfiguration, and removal of temporary containment wall systems at construction sites and commercial properties in the Puget Sound Region. Expect to receive a lot of mentorship from the owner and opportunities to grow in exchange for your reliability, professionalism, construction knowhow, and leadership on job sites.
We are looking for someone who is excited to learn how our wall systems work, successfully deploy them on job sites, and eventually lead and oversee installation crews over time. If you’re hungry to help build the operations of and new and growing company by getting your hands dirty, this role is for you.
Who we are: Temporary Wall Systems is a rapidly growing franchise offering sustainable temporary containment solutions for a range of applications and industries, complete with turn-key service businesses can count on.
We operate as a small, tight, highly supportive team that believes in frequent direct communication, transparency, accountability, treating our customers and stakeholders with integrity, and bringing a growth mindset to everything we do.
While construction or facility management experience would be ideal, we care far more about a positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow, and excitement to transform how the construction industry does temporary containment than we do any individual qualification (provided you’re physically able to lead installations of our wall systems). We’re having a lot of fun building this business and hope to find someone who is excited to take ownership of installing our wall systems and become the operations leader of our company over time.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the installation, maintenance, and removal of on-site containment solutions for our commercial construction clients. From assembling our modular wall panels, to designing and constructing custom infill solutions to complement our product, to leading small teams of other installers to deliver larger installations, your attention to detail will ensure premium customer satisfaction.
- Ensure an exceptionally safe work environment as you navigate construction sites, following our company procedures and protocols, as well as those of our general contractor customers. You’ll operate a variety of hand and power tools, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- Build a company culture and service model of excellence by representing the TWS brand in a professional and collegiate manner with our contractor and facilities customers
- Drive operational excellence through diligent handling and care of our wall panel product during all project stages (transportation, installation, breakdown, cleaning, returning to storage) and identifying implementing areas for process improvements on an ongoing basis
- Take ownership of every detail needed to ensure successful installation operations. This includes:
- Confirming the inventory needed for the job is available and in acceptable condition
- Booking and verifying contracted labor to work with you in setting up and dismantling each job
- Ensuring that transportation (company Sprinter Van or truck and trailer) and hardware (tools, fasteners, etc.) is purchased and ready
- Before and after jobs, ensuring all inventory and supplies are accounted for and properly organized in our storage facility
Details:
- While construction and/or facilities industry expertise is ideal, we care far more about resourcefulness, handiness, an “ownership” mentality, attention to detail, and a customer service mindset over any specific qualification. If, for instance, you’re a mover or equipment installation technician looking to take the next step in your career, we’d love for you to apply!
- The right person for this role is comfortable with owning the above responsibilities and details and sees this role as a tremendous growth opportunity to help lead a new and growing company. We view this position as on track to eventually become the General Manager/COO of the business, which represents a significant leadership and financial opportunity. If that excites you but also makes you apprehensive, please apply! We do not expect someone to come in with these abilities. We will coach and mentor you to grow into this leadership role.
- We also love to see candidates with a track record of service or impact (military veterans, local volunteering, etc.)
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- At least one year of experience in the construction/facilities/moving/equipment installation field
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment
:
- Experience with STARC or Abatement modular wall systems
- Familiarity with hospital and/or cleanroom environments
