Salary: £22.20 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance)

Shift Pattern: 46.40 Night Shift - 18.00 – 06.00 Monday to Thursday



We have a vacancy for a Quality Inspector/Level 2 NDT Technician.



Key Responsibilities:



Inspection:



• To carry out 1st off Inspection (CMM / Manual) / Receipt Inspection / Inspection and Calibration activities as required to support operations

• Running CMM programmes; analysing and recording results and making appropriate quality decisions

• Maintaining the integrity of CMM programs ensuring programs are maintained and stored correctly

• To support the internal non-conformance process; raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured

• To liaise closely with Engineering to ensure the smooth transition of new products – New Product Introduction (NPI)

• Completion of FAIR packs by means of CMM / Manual Inspection



NDT:



• Perform Inspection operations (MPI DPI and Visual) in accordance with procedures

• Ensure NDT equipment is maintained and suitable for the operation

• Conduct control checks and test in accordance with procedures

• Interpretation and evaluation of test results against defined acceptance standards

• Generate work instructions in preparation for Level 3 approval

• Manage workflow to meet production requirements

• Prepare and authorise product test reports

• Achieve and maintain Level 2 approval in the relevant Non-Destructive Test method to ensure cover within the BromfordPS

• Conduct test and inspections to ensure product is conforming to customer product Specifications and definitions

• Ensure parts are processed in accordance with business work priorities on a timely basis



About You



• 5 years' experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry in a similar role

• Level 2 NDT Certificate in Penetrant Inspection

• Working to production timelines in a manufacturing environment

• Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation

• Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook

• Able to get on with others and be a team-player

• Attention to detail and accuracy at all times

• Working to deadlines

• Managing workload effectively, prioritising where necessary
