The Inspection Coordinator is responsible for the handling of witness activities and associated documentation. This would include pre-inspection verifications, acting as point of contact for witnessing activities while onsite with work in-process, and closeout documentation after inspection occurs. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, good communication skills, knowledge of various inspection types, and the ability to interpret requirements stipulated by industry standards or those provided by the Customer.

The employee should actively participate in the planning, managing, and execution of assigned tasks and workflow to ensure timely completion of all activities. It is required for the Coordinator to interface with Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales personnel, as well as individuals working for outside entities to ensure order requirements of Customer are met accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling witnesses (calendar invites, coordination with production, schedule adjustments based on actual duration or unplanned changes)
  • Ensure order requirements align with end user specifications and ITPs
  • Verify Production is prepared prior to witness activities
  • Oversee witness onboarding (safety acknowledgement, shop , etc.)
  • Handle documentation for inspection activities (scan documents, signatures recorded where necessary, saved in correct storage locations, emailed to appropriate individuals if requested)
  • Make corrections if necessary when identified after completion (as appropriate and within standard guidelines provided)
  • Compile Documentation Packages for required work orders and notify Sales & QA for review upon completion
  • Ensure calibration records are properly filed and readily available for inspection activities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency with MS Office suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work as a team member across various departments
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in conjunction with good time management skills
  • Strong self-motivation, willingness to learn, and excellent work ethic
  • Ability to work safely according to the Company’s handbook and Safety Manual
  • Experience with pipe, valves, and fittings
  • Knowledge or understanding of technical documentation controls and methodologies
  • Knowledge or understanding of inspection methods (ASME, API, AMPP, AWS, etc.)

Education and Qualifications

  • HS Diploma is required and higher education is
  • Read, write, and speak English (bilingual in Spanish )
  • Valid driver’s license
