Injection Molding Process Technician

Location Maple Grove MN

What You Will Be Doing

You will serve as a key technical resource supporting molding operations from tool sampling through production optimization

• Set up sample and validate new and existing injection molds
• Establish and refine process parameters and quality specifications for new tooling
• Troubleshoot injection molding defects and process variation in real time
• Drive corrective actions to stabilize and improve molding processes
• Maintain and update cycle sheets setup sheets and process documentation
• Ensure accurate completion of sample tickets and validation records
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across molding operations
• Partner with tooling quality and production teams to optimize performance

Core Technical Experience Needed

We are looking for someone who is highly experienced in injection molding fundamentals and process troubleshooting including

• Strong knowledge of injection molding machines and processing fundamentals
• Hands on experience with process setup validation and optimization
• Ability to troubleshoot common molding defects such as flash short shots sinks warpage burns and dimensional variation
• Understanding of tooling behavior cavity balance and mold performance
• Ability to adjust key process parameters including injection speed pressure transfer pack hold cooling and cycle time
• Experience maintaining process documentation cycle sheets and production data
• Comfortable using Excel and basic production monitoring systems
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills in a production setting

Physical and Work Requirements

• Standing walking and moving throughout the plant during shifts
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
• Required PPE including safety glasses hearing protection in designated areas
• Steel toe footwear recommended
