& Infrastructure Security Manager

Overview

The & Infrastructure Security Manager leads a technical team responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company assets. This is a hands on management role that synthesizes team leadership and technical expertise in order to directly manage SILAC's & Access Management and Infrastructure Security functions. This role maintains awareness of the threat landscape along with a detailed understanding of modern systems security techniques. This knowledge to organizational information systems and assets to skillfully design, recommend, monitor, and maintain security systems and controls. This role works closely with Information Technology, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders to understand company needs and risks, to implement and maintain solutions.

Job Details

Security Team Manager – Lead a team of Information Security Systems Engineers and Analysts responsible for SILAC's IAM and Infrastructure Security programs. Build and foster the team's abilities that enable understanding of the evolving threat landscape, company asset exposure, threat and vulnerability detection and tacking. Recommend improvements and take appropriate steps to ensure that the organization's infrastructure, data, and assets are suitably protected. Assist in coordination of team efforts that perform security operations such as monitoring and vulnerability management.

Security Solutions Design – Architect security solutions, including technical, administrative, and compensating controls for a broad range of information systems, including providers, servers, enterprise applications, networks, and associated infrastructure, hosted and cloud platforms. Monitor and audit control effectiveness.

Policy & Documentation – Review, assess, and update security documentation, including policies, standards, baselines, and procedures. Maintain and update reporting processes that communicate key security KPI's to stakeholders.

Incident Management – Assume an active, primary role in all stages of incident response, including detection, response, mitigation, reporting, remediation, recovery, and lessons learned. Discover and document root causes, design and implement process improvements based on lessons learned.

Security Culture – Act as a champion for the company's security aware culture. Establish and foster cross team relationships, promote informed, educated security decision making across the organization. Strive toward a culture of continuous improvement by advancing personal and team skills and capabilities.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Experience managing technical teams
  • Minimum five years of security focused systems or network engineering work experience
  • CISSP or equivalent advanced security certification
  • Deep understanding of security principles and techniques, including IAM, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, defense in depth, change management
  • Extensive experience implementing technical security controls, including IAAA, wireless security, network access control, firewalls, IDS/IPS, server & endpoint security
  • Experience building or maintaining security systems, such as centralized logging, endpoint management, SIEM design, administration, and analysis
  • Advanced technical experience with Windows and Linux operating system security configuration
  • Experience integrating Office 365 security configurations and features
  • Proficiency in scripting and query and building internal tools
  • Experience with data analytics tools and report creation and presentation
  • Experience implementing governance models, such as NIST CSF or ISO 27001
  • Ability to prosper in a fast paced, constantly changing environment  
  • High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and ethics
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills 

Desired

  • Experience with Agile project management techniques
  • Financial industry experience
  • Experience with regulated environments such as PCI, HIPAA, GLBA, SOX, FFIEC

A Day in the Life of the & infrastructure Security Manager

  • Champion IAM and Infrastructure Security programs
    • Guide team members' daily project and operational activities
  • Review security controls and evaluate effectiveness
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, architect secure by design implementations
    • Security systems product assessment and implementation
  • Maintain awareness of information systems and configurations organization wide
    • Build and tune reporting and alerting systems to reflect current, real time security status
    • Assess escalated IOC's, guide investigation and response efforts
    • Collaborate with the MDR service team, as necessary
  • Mentor security team members
    • Act as a mentor and technical lead to other team members
  • Write, review, and update security documentation, respond to audit requests
