I have a full time opportunity for a mid level Infrastructure Project Manager that will sit in the IT Infrastructure Operations team and optimize our project lifecycle from intake to execution. This role is critical for ensuring that all IT infrastructure initiatives are aligned with business priorities, managed effectively, and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and will play a key role in centralizing our project portfolio.

 

This role is onsite 5 days in Brookfield CT.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for all new IT infrastructure project requests.
  • Establish and manage a standardized project intake process.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and document business needs.
  • Maintain and manage the priority matrix for all incoming projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Define clear project scope statements and success criteria.
  • Proactively identify and manage project dependencies, risks, and potential roadblocks.
  • Manage the execution of multiple concurrent IT infrastructure projects, from initiation to closure.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and under budget.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Apply PMI-based project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) as appropriate for each project.
  • Utilize and, ideally, optimize a project management application, with a preference for experience using ManageEngine PM.

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or relative experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, specifically within an IT or technology environment.
  • Proven experience in managing the full project lifecycle from intake through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies
  • PMP and/or PMI certs are a plus, not mandatory.
  • Experience with demand intake, scope definition, and dependency identification.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with various project management tools.
  • Experience managing projects in a global IT environment.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure operations, including knowledge of networking, servers, and security.
