We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Operations Manager to oversee and manage the operations of cryptographic and Tech Control facilities within a high-security Department of Defense (DoD) environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Tech Control operations, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the daily operations of Tech Control facilities, ensuring all systems and circuits remain operational and compliant with DISAC 310-175-9.
- Supervise and direct technical personnel responsible for managing and operating cryptographic facilities.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Tech Control equipment including switches, encryption devices, network operation consoles, and circuits.
- Manage and maintain Tier 2 Tech Control Helpdesk functions, ensuring timely incident and service request resolution.
- Coordinate and execute restoration, reporting, and maintenance activities related to transmission paths and facilities.
- Oversee the implementation of ITSM practices and maintain compliance with industry standards for Information Management Operations.
- Serve as a key point of contact for senior leadership, providing both oral and written updates on infrastructure status and operational effectiveness.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Citizenship and Clearance:
- US Citizenship required.
- Must have and maintain a current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Experience:
- 5 or more years managing and operating cryptographic facilities.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in IT-related field (required) or 5 years' equivalent experience
- Certifications:
- Rapid Response Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
- Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge in maintaining the operational status of a Tech Control facility.
- Knowledge of Tech Control equipment such as Switches, Encryption devices, Network Operation Consoles, and Circuits.
- Demonstrated knowledge and supervision of tech control employees in efforts similar in size and scope to this program.
- Oral and written communication experience with the highest levels of management.
- Must have knowledge in operating and maintaining Tier 2 Tech Control Helpdesk functions and DISAC 310-175-9.
- Ability to provide technical directions and supervision, in coordinating, restoring and reporting functions necessary for effective maintenance of transmission paths and facilities.
- Knowledge of industry-accepted standards and best practices related to Information Management Operations and with IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
- Knowledge in handling and managing incidents and service requests for activities such as changes, problems, configurations, and requisitions for equipment and services.
