We’re hiring a Windows-focused Infrastructure Engineer to support a global hosting estate delivering highly available managed services across multiple regions.
This is a hands-on, operational role where you’ll take ownership of Windows infrastructure stability within a large-scale virtualised environment. Availability, security, and disciplined change control are non-negotiable, and you’ll be trusted to execute with precision.
The Role
You will:
- Administer and maintain hosted Windows Server infrastructure
• Own monthly Windows patching across critical systems
• Patch Active Directory domain controllers and bastion / jump servers (HA pairs across regions)
• Execute controlled, sequential patching with clear rollback discipline
• Perform pre- and post-patch validation (AD replication, authentication, core services)
• Manage large VM estates supporting customer workloads
• Operate across compute, storage, and virtualisation layers
• Follow ITIL-aligned incident, change, and problem processes
• Respond to infrastructure incidents quickly and methodically
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams
Non-Negotiables
- Windows Server in large virtualised / data centre environments
• Active Directory administration & Group Policy design
• High-availability production Windows systems
• Microsoft security best practices
• Strong troubleshooting in uptime-critical estates
• Experience within structured change-controlled environments
• VMware or Nutanix
