Position Summary:
Infrastructure Engineer - Linux

We are looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer with a strong focus on Linux systems to join our team. The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security. This role requires collaboration with various teams, including IT, development, and operations, to support and enhance our infrastructure.

Proven track record of managing and maintaining Linux-based systems.
Ability to anticipate and manage infrastructure risks and issues with full transparency.
Confident, solution-oriented independent worker.
Must work independently while managing different sets of business, technology, and vendor stakeholders.
Proven problem-solving and organizational skills.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
Experience with VMWare
Demonstrated ability in team motivation and delegation.
Local to Cincinnati region will be given preference.
Some travel to the Blue Ash Technical center may be required during critical deployments.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Linux-based systems ensuring their reliability, performance, and security.
Manage and maintain set of tools such as Ansible and Shell Scripting
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and performance.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to support and enhance the infrastructure.
Implement and maintain security best practices for Linux systems.
Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and processes.
Apply conflict resolution skills to resolve infrastructure issues daily.
Manage infrastructure risk, develop mitigation plans, and escalate decisions and unresolved issues daily.
Work with peers to develop and drive goals, define technical specifications, and detailed implementation plans for infrastructure projects.
Effectively apply skills to impact infrastructure decisions.
Focus on the benefits to be realized and the outcomes to be achieved.

Note to Vendors:
Top skills Linux admin, Ansible or other automation tool skills
Experience 3-5 years minimum, Medium to large corporate environment (bonus if retail)
Project person will be supporting Backfilling FTE, operational work - day to day Linux support
Work Location (in office, hybrid, remote) Cincinnati , if they are local they are expected in 4 days a week
Is travel required if remote, there will be expectation of traveling into Cincinnati, Cross training and project kickoffs, around 2-3 trips
Max Rate Looking for competitive rates, please provide best market rate, high rates will be rejected
Required Working Hours Flexible on working hours, core hours
Interview process and when will it start 1 panel interview with 3 managers, looking to schedule interviews on 22nd and 23rd and make offer on 26th
Prescreening Details Custom Prescreening, 3 questions
