Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer Must be based near to Chippenham as the role requires on site attendance 2/3 days a week. Job Summary This role encompasses supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure and operational software and services aligned with the organisations corporate goals and operational requirements. The analyst will also manage services within specific technical specialisms, as determined by the infrastructure & operations manager. Key Responsibilities Provide efficient, effective, and friendly support services, upholding high customer service standards. Independently and collaboratively deliver ongoing support, management services, and maintain operational IT systems. Assist in the planning, testing, and delivery of new and improved systems, adhering to established procedures and documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement in processes, procedures, and standards. Encourage and coach stakeholders in adopting best practices for system use, reflecting the companies core values. 3rd Line Level Support. Outputs and Measures Deliver system and service improvements, contributing to business value. Maintain documentation and records for support and improvement initiatives. Ensure fast response capabilities through controls, monitoring, and alerts. Deliver configured, fault-free hardware assets within SLAs. Person Specification Qualifications: Degree in a relevant field; professional technical qualifications in Microsoft Windows Networking. Experience: Solid background in Windows Network environment, Microsoft technologies (Windows 10, Servers, Office 365), cloud-based infrastructure support, and a proven track record of personal development. Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills; proficient in prioritisation and managing multiple tasks. Attitude: Ability to challenge the status quo, work autonomously, highly motivated, organised, and customer-focused. Specialisms Analysts are expected to develop skills in specific technical areas, such as cloud infrastructure, configuration management, Microsoft 365, application management, cyber security, networking & connectivity, and automation & orchestration. Specialisms will be supported by the company, contributing to career development and salary progression.
