Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities · As an IT Infrastructure Engineer , you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining all aspects of the group’s infrastructure. · Play a pivotal role in the development, execution operation and maintenance of current and new operating systems. · Work collaboratively with the company's Managed Service Partner to support and improve the company’s infrastructure and network. · Be involved in and when necessary, project manage on the design, implementation and roll-out of new systems/software, and networks. · Deliver key technical projects, including moving the company’s infrastructure to a cloud-based environment. · Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies including data confidentiality and the operational security of the Information Systems used. · Be involved in maintaining and improving the company’s unified communications infrastructure. · Work in an advisory capacity alongside other members of the IT Team to provide technical solutions to customers and manage customer expectations. · Documentation, policy and procedures production and review. · Undertake projects on an ad-hoc basis as set out by your manager. 25 days Holiday Allowance, plus bank holidays and an additional birthday holiday too! Skills and Experience · Minimum of 5 years experience working within an IT Technical Team and knowledge of Microsoft platforms including Windows Server 2016, 2019 Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Azure. · Experience and knowledge of Services and applications, including Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, Hyper- and Remote Desktop Services. · Experience and knowledge of Routers, switches, wireless and firewalls. · Enterprise server estates including Blade systems and high-density servers. · Enterprise networking including Cisco. · Experience and knowledge of cloud computing/services. · Good working knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems and basic computer hardware components. · Proven and relevant working experience in a busy, client-focused organisation. · Adaptable, proactive and have excellent attention to detail. · Planned, organised and able to effectively work to deadlines. · Resilience and the resourcefulness to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
