Remote (Candidates must reside within a 2-hour radius for occasional onsite needs in Philadelphia, PA)
Summary
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing advanced-level projects, including organization-wide system implementations and upgrades, with a focus on IT infrastructure and new facilities. The ideal candidate will hold a PMP certification and possess strong experience leading IT project initiatives specifically around AI projects. Previous experience in IT Operations is highly .
This role requires an advanced understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. The IT Project Manager acts as a senior contributor within the PMO, managing complex projects, mentoring junior PMs, and championing the organization’s project management framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, coordinate, and manage complex, organization-wide projects such as system implementations or upgrades.
- Manage 8–15 project team members across multiple departments.
- Manage an AI project
- Exhibit advanced proficiency in the Client’s project management methodologies and tools.
- Serve as a leader and mentor to PM I and PM II team members.
- Drive alignment across project stakeholders and ensure project delivery on time and within scope.
- Prepare and deliver project updates and presentations to IS and hospital leadership.
- Act as a trusted business partner to sponsors and stakeholders.
- Support the PMO by promoting project management best practices and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Project Manager in IT Project Management with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
- Must Have Artificial Intelligence (AI) experience/experience managing an AI project.
- Proven experience managing infrastructure or facility-related IT projects.
- Advanced documentation and communication skills (oral and written).
- Strong ability to build consensus and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor junior PMs.
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale, cross-functional projects simultaneously.
- Experience presenting project updates or PMO initiatives to executive leadership.
