World Services is seeking an experienced and highly organized IT Program Manager to lead and oversee critical technology programs for a federal client. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in program management, technical oversight, and stakeholder engagement. This role is responsible for driving execution across complex projects involving multiple disciplines, such as engineering, application program and systems development. This environment is for the ...The IT Program Manager will ensure that all initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with contractual and organizational goals. The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all communication and coordination for the government and World Services, ensuring clarity, accountability, and alignment across all parties.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the management and execution of complex IT programs and projects across multiple technical disciplines including engineering, systems development, and application programming.

  • Oversee all phases of assigned task orders or groups of interrelated task orders, ensuring they align with strategic goals and are delivered on schedule and within budget.

  • Direct and coordinate activities of personnel across technical and administrative teams; assign responsibilities, manage performance, and resolve conflicts or discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Ensure compliance with all contract and quality standards and manage risks and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle including accessibility.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders, including the Contracting Officer, COTR/COR, and agency representatives.

  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly in both oral and written formats to internal leadership and external partners.

  • Negotiate solutions and make authoritative decisions that support project and contract requirements in a FedRAMP certified infrastructure.

  • Develop cost-effective approaches for solving complex technical and managerial problems.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and process improvement.

  • Develop documentation including Project Management Plan, Monthly and Bi-Weekly Reports, and Financial Reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a mid-level or senior Program Manager overseeing technical and administrative teams in IT or engineering environments.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification.

  • Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

  • Experience testing and validating that deliverables are 508 accessible with tools like JAWS or Dragon Naturally Speaking.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing federal contracts or working within a government contracting environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven track record managing task orders or projects that involve related or interdependent systems across multiple disciplines.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with both internal teams and government representatives.

  • ITIL v4 Foundations

Location: Washington, DC - On Location 
Job Type: Part time with optional full time
Pay: 60-65 per hour
Work Hours: between the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Eastern) Monday through Friday excluding Federal holidays
